Top-down cyber capture-and-return arena
Neon Relay Rush is an original top-down 2D arena game about stealing and returning encrypted Data Cores. Control one Blue Runner Drone alongside two AI teammates against three rival drones. Carry the enemy core into your Upload Zone while your own core is safe to score — first to 3 captures (or the lead at 5:00) wins, with sudden-death overtime on ties. Master momentum-based movement and a full toolkit of devices: Launch Rails fling you across the map, Static Mines and Phase Barriers scramble you, Sync Pads open barriers, Pulse Nodes shove everyone, and Worm Gates teleport you. Grab Grip Drive, Shock Shield, and Hunter Mode power-ups. Three JSON-driven arenas unlock as you level up, with XP, credits, cosmetic trails, a local leaderboard, daily streaks, keyboard + mobile joystick controls, reduced-motion and audio options, and browser auto-save. Rendered in real-time canvas — no install.
How to play
Move with WASD / arrow keys (or the on-screen joystick on mobile). Reach the enemy Data Core to grab it, then carry it back to your glowing Upload Zone — you only score if your own core is home. Press Space (or the on-screen button) to fire your Shock Shield, which also auto-saves you from one lethal hit. Ride Launch Rails to escape, avoid red Static Mines, and grab power-ups. Esc pauses, M mutes, F is fullscreen. Progress auto-saves in your browser.
